The association

Mission and Vision

We design educational actions for young people and adults, with a focus on lifelong learning, inclusion and European cooperation.

European Pathfinders is a non-profit association based in Volos, founded in 2013 with the primary aim of educating, training and upskilling young people and adults.

Mission

We design and implement educational activities that connect lifelong learning with social participation, personal development, inclusion and active community engagement.

Vision

A society where more people, regardless of age, background or barriers to access, have meaningful opportunities for learning, growth and participation.

Who we work with

Our work reaches pupils, students, teachers, employees, job-seekers, volunteers, young people, older adults, people with disabilities, Roma, migrants and broader social groups who need access to meaningful learning opportunities.

Areas of action

In the field of adult education, we develop programmes that address real needs within the local community. Our activities include active ageing, healthy nutrition, emotional empowerment, professional development and employment for people with disabilities, and digital skills for Roma adults, with a focus on safe use of technology and access to essential services.

In the field of youth, we support activities that strengthen participation, volunteering, intercultural learning, self-confidence and the development of social and communication skills. Through youth exchanges, educational workshops and European programmes, we seek to create spaces where young people can learn, collaborate, express themselves and take an active role in society.

European Pathfinders also offers Erasmus+ KA1 training programmes and seminars in Volos and Pelion, covering themes such as robotics and STEAM, special education, inclusion and differentiated instruction, wellbeing, mindfulness and stress management in the classroom, as well as digital transformation and internet safety.

Our approach

Our approach is grounded in collaboration with schools, institutions, organisations, social services, volunteer groups and European networks. We deliver seminars, workshops, conferences, study visits, hands-on activities and transnational partnerships, with the aim that learning does not remain theory but is transformed into experience, skill and meaningful change.

What we believe

For us, education is not merely the transmission of knowledge. It is a means of participation, inclusion and empowerment. It is the opportunity for every person, regardless of age, social background or starting point, to acquire new tools, develop their potential and take a more active part in society.
